Winches ATV & UTV
Our ATV winches are primarily designed for single-person vehicles, such as small quads or snowplows. On the other hand, UTV winches, which perform well even in extremely difficult conditions, are intended for off-road vehicles with a cabin (two-person). We understand that these four-wheeled vehicles are often used for special tasks, which is why UTV winches are made from the best materials that ensure appropriate durability.
What distinguishes our ATV and UTV winches:
Our winches for quads and other ATV and UTV vehicles are primarily characterized by:
- RELIABILITY - A well-chosen winch for a quad, snowplow, or UTV off-road vehicle will ensure reliability in any conditions. The speed of operation is due to the appropriately matched power and gearing to the needs of the application. High-quality materials provide a well-sealed motor, so it should not be damaged in contact with water or mud.
- SAFETY - All our winches are equipped with an automatic brake. What does this mean for you? Safety during use, as the automatic brake is resistant to overload. In most cases, a synthetic rope offered in sets also provides maximum safety.
- Additionally, a significant advantage is the convenience and ease of installation of ATV and UTV winches.
How to choose a UTV and ATV winch and what to pay attention to?
Weight and Ibs (pulling force)
You need to know that in some online stores, offered winches may be incorrectly described, so instead of finding a UTV winch, you might come across a quad winch. So what exactly should you pay attention to? Here’s a hint! Generally, the weight of ATV winches is significantly lower than that of UTV winches. Therefore, if you are looking for a winch for a quad, look for one with a lower weight, and its pulling force should be between 2000 Ibs and 4000 Ibs. In the case of a UTV winch, it is advisable to choose a heavier unit with a pulling capacity between 4000 Ibs and 5500 or higher. Of course, the choice of the right pulling force depends on personal needs. For example, for operating a snowplow or pulling a small load, an ATV winch with a pulling force of about 2000-3000 Ibs will be sufficient. Our online store HusarWinch offers both ATV and UTV winches with both lower and higher weights, as well as pulling capacities to choose from between 2000 Ibs and 5500 Ibs.
Winch rope
Typically, we have the choice of synthetic rope and steel rope. Both have their pros and cons. Personally, we recommend the synthetic rope, which, although more expensive and generally wears out faster, performs much better compared to steel rope. Why? The synthetic rope consists of synthetic fibers, making it safer during use or breakage. Moreover, it is much lighter and can float on water. On the other hand, the steel rope is made of small, twisted strands, so it is advisable to use protective gloves during use to avoid injuring your hands. In the event of sudden breakage, it can strike with great force. However, due to the steel, the steel rope is more resistant to abrasion.
In our range of UTV and ATV winches, we generally include a synthetic rope in the set, but we also give the option to purchase the winch separately and choose a rope separately.
